A segment is each part that a message is divided into when it is long. Messages longer than 160 characters are automatically divided into segments and reassembled when the recipient receives them.
- A standard text message supports up to 160 characters.
- If it includes emojis or characters such as Chinese characters, the limit drops to 70 characters.
- It is recommended not to exceed 320 characters to ensure the best delivery.
